Hello, I'm Hilde Van Riet, the creative brain behind ShowBee.
For me, the goal of ShowBee is to inspire ladies: to inspire them to be creative with an outfit, to add small details themselves, to reveal or hide facets. This way you create a unique outfit and then you feel just a little bit more special. And all that without having to be a handy lady yourself.
The challenge
People sometimes ask me why I plunge into the world of lingerie: they see it as a complex product in a difficult market. And yes, it is. But I also see the beauty of it: Lingerie is something nice for yourself. A beautiful product finished with many refined and special details. A product that is slightly different from the other clothing and that therefore stimulates me. Still nice to distinguish yourself with a product that is not so obvious.
A little more about myself
Well, I am a proud mom of 3 daughters. That sometimes makes it busy, but they also provide the unexpected, but much-needed distractions. I couldn't miss them.
Professionally, I work as a training coordinator and coach at the Belgian federal government. I also trained as a color and style consultant and I was active as a blogger for 10 years with Hildes Lingerieblog.
The team
If there's one thing that really doesn't warm me up, it's numbers. For this I call on my husband, Johan De Clerck, number cruncher and entrepreneur.
He tries to bring the necessary realism to my dreams and also follows up on all finances and administration.
He also likes to help me review my latest designs and is only too happy to help when I want to try on a new design myself :-).
